 Digital Marketing Intern (Spearfish, SD)

Pay-per-click (PPC) Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

Semi-Remote Internship. Occasional face-to-face training will be conducted in Spearfish SD.

Job Overview: Join a fast-growing digital marketing company that helps local business owners get more leads through digital marketing. You’ll be responsible for managing Google Ads campaigns by setting up and optimizing all aspects of the campaign. You will also assist in Search Engine Optimization tasks to increase the web rankings of our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Hands-on execution of PPC paid search in Google Ads (AdWords) and Microsoft (Bing) Ads to drive lead generation conversions.

  • Generate actionable insights from data to improve cost per lead, conversion rate, click through rate, and number of leads

  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting

  • Keyword research, expansion, and optimization

  • Designing and implementing a coherent keyword strategy

  • Actively looking for under performing metrics in each account and can diagnose and solve the issue

  • Optimize landing pages for better performance

  • Assist with SEO tasks such as proof-reading, copy-writing, editing web pages, and helping with SEO strategies

  • Develop internal documentation and procedures

Who You Are:

  • You are an excellent communicator

  • You possess strong analytical and quantitative skills with knowledge of data analysis programs such as Google Analytics or can read and interpret charts of data

  • You’re a data-driven decision maker

  • Experience in SEO/PPC management with demonstrable ranking/ROI success

  • Pursuing a marketing degree from an accredited institution in marketing or equivalent discipline

  • Google Ads Certified (Or within 3 months of working for us you should be able to pass this test)

  • Google Analytics Certified (Or within 6 months of working for us you should be able to pass this test)

  • Experience managing and planning a marketing budget

  • You have strong problem-solving skills

  • You try new things, adapt quickly and invest when results are promising

  • You are able to work independently in an unstructured, rapidly changing environment

  • You are willing to learn new marketing skills quickly

  • You respond well to constructive feedback when errors are made

  • You can follow directions and are willing to speak up to suggest new ways to do tasks more efficiently

  • You have a passion for learning about marketing

  • You have an eye for design and great user experiences
